![]() How do you personally answer that question? If you are unsure of where you will spend eternity, click here to know how you can have certainty. Everything about you is new since you are forgiven of your sins (2 Corinthians 5:17). God told you He would save you when you ask Him (Romans 10:13). If you died right now, God would not condemn you (John 5:24). You have Jesus in your heart; therefore, you have eternal life (I John 5:11-13). Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can lose your salvation. You can not. It is a free gift from God, and He will not lie (John 10:27-30). Remember, you can not lose your salvation, but you can lose your influence, your testimony, and your witness in the community. You will sin because you are human. Ask God to forgive you daily, and He will (I John 1:9). You do not have to be saved all over again. It is important that you join a good, solid, Bible-believing church, and ask your pastor to baptize you. This is the next step after salvation. You do not have to be baptized to go to Heaven, but the Bible commands us to grow in our new walk with Christ (Acts 2:41).
Just as you grow physically from childhood to
adulthood, you must grow spiritually (I Peter 2:2). Go to church
and Sunday School (Hebrews 10:25). Read your Bible and pray
daily. Develop a quiet time each day with your Lord. He wants to hear
from you (I Thessalonians 5:17). Become a student of God's Word
(2 Timothy 2:15). Be a bold witness for Christ in your actions,
attitudes, and lifestyle (2 Corinthians 5:20, 2 Timothy 1:7). No
matter what your circumstances are in life, your Lord will always be
with you (Hebrews 13:5-6). |
