Dr. Glenn Cummings Dr. Cummings was born in Rome, Georgia and graduated from Thomasville High School in 1982. He holds a bachelors degree from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee; a Masters of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Luther Rice Seminary. Glenn has pastored three churches having previously served the Lydia Baptist Church in Lydia, Louisiana and the Dug Gap Baptist Church in Dalton, Georgia. He has served as Pastor of Madison Avenue since 1996. Glenn and his wife Caprice have two children: Brooke who is 17 and Bradley who is 15. They attend Alcoa City Schools. "My vision for Madison Avenue is to grow both numerically and spiritually by ministering to the spiritual needs of those in our Church and community. My desire is to help lead our church to realize the potential we have to see many come to Christ in Blount County. Rev. Sam Wagner, Sr. Sam is a native of Bristol, Virginia and a 1975 graduate of John Battle High School. He holds a degree in Music Education from East Tennessee State University and a Masters of Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has previously served the Siam Baptist Church in Elizabethton, Tennessee, the Unaka Avenue Baptist Church in Johnson City, Tennessee, the Arlington Heights Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, Texas, and the First Baptist Church in Mtn. City, Tennessee. Sam has been Minister of Music at Madison Avenue since October of 1989. He and his wife Kelly have three children: Sam, Jr. who is 24, Rebekah who is 19, and Rachel who is 15. "It is my desire that the music ministry of Madison Avenue help assist our church in fulfilling the three biblical focuses of ministry: ministry to God, ministry to the church, and ministry to our world. Dr. Stephen C. Hodges Steve is a native of Maryville, Tennessee. He holds a degree in Religion from Carson-Newman College and a Masters of Community Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. He attended Southern Seminary, and received the Doctor of Bible degree in Pastoral Counseling from Southern Baptist Institute for Biblical Studies. He and his wife Sandie have one child: Nathan who is 26. "My desire is that the students and families of Madison Avenue grow spiritually and be humble, healthy, fully devoted followers of Christ." |
